Sweet Perogies

Sweet Perogies
Ok so tonight I made a quick side dish with the help of the "Freezer Section" of the supermarket... With a little work, I made this frozen delight a bit semi-homemade with a lot of sweet! My Aunt Lina says she a great homemade recipe for the perogie so when she gets it to me, I'll add it to this Blog...
1 Bag of Frozen Cheddar Cheese and Potato filled Perogie
2 Small Onions
1/2 Cup Packed Brown sugar
A handful of chopped flat leaf Parsley
Salt & Pepper
1/2 Tablespoon of Butter
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1/4 cup of grated Cheddar Cheese
2 Cloves of Garlic (whole)
Boil the Perogie as directed on the bag. While they are boiling, chop 2 small onions. Add the Olive Oil to a pan with the butter and garlic. Once the butter starts to melt, add the sugar and onions. Once the Onions are translucent, add the 1/2 of the parsley and use the salt and pepper to season. Strain the water from the perogie and prepare on a serving dish. Discard the garlic from the onion mixture, if you'd like. Add the onion mixture to the perogie and the rest of the fresh parsley.  Then add the grated cheese on top and serve!! Enjoy!!
